Ornament has always fascinated me. Museums all over the world are filled with the art and adornment of societies and cultures long since passed. The history of the materials and symbolism these ancients used and the reasons they used them for different applications could be a lifetime study in itself.
My lifelong love of nature’s splendor developed the desire to use what I see as inspiration to create. By blending the visual with the tactile and the history of materials and symbols, I mold small bits of our glorious world into ornament specific to each client.
Below are a few examples of this partnership with my clients. Contact me for a consultation.
Emily – To Thine Ownself be True
Three strand bracelet with fresh water pearls, crystal beads, custom handmade fine silver charms, handmade moonstone and fine silver clasp, sterling silver double-sided frame with hand tinted personal photos and sterling silver letter blocks.
Pearl harmonizes the wearer with the natural cycles of the moon. It eases mental overload and is said to increase spiritual and romantic love. Moonstone is the stone of moon goddesses, especially the Greek moon and love goddess, Aphrodite. Moonstone is a protector of travelers and is believed to become more powerful for healing as the moon cycles to fullness.
Marie – the healer
Seed pearl and crystal necklace custom hand-formed fine silver crescent moon pendant with flower embellishment, hand-formed fine silver star charm, amethyst and rose quartz beads.
The crescent moon is the symbol of the aging goddess (crone) or wise woman archetype. Rose
quartz is essential for healers; it is used to ease pain or tension and emotional wounds, such as grief, stress, fear or anger. Amethyst is the powerful healing stone and recharges other crystals with healing properties. Amethyst magnifies psychic abilities and right-brain activity. It is recharged in moonlight and will become paler in sunlight.
Tina – loves blue
Double strand blue crystal bead and black seed pearls, white fresh water pearls and lapis lazuli bead necklace, pendant of 19th century East Indian pottery shard held in sterling silver crown.
Black pearl is very magical for women, enabling them to contact their deeper wisdom. It is a natural bringer of abundance, good luck and prosperity. Lapis lazuli calms the nervous system, reduces inflammation and pain. Lapis is inspiring for night magic, especially under the stars, and for psychic protection. It is also used for meaningful and prophetic dreams.
Joan – a lovely memory
A bracelet of sterling silver beads, spacers and toggle clasp, tawny pearls and the pink crystal beads salvaged from a favorite necklace of her mother’s.
The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding.

The Boar (or Pig) is a totem of prosperity and spiritual strength and a strong protector animal. The Boar is deeply connected to Mother Earth and the mysteries of Nature.
